Arden Jones returns with alternative hip-hop focused single “roll the dice”

Soon to be heralded as a wunderkind of genre-coalescing, 19-year-old LA-based singer-songwriter Arden Jones returns with his sophomore single “roll the dice.” The new effort is a follow-up to his debut single “Parallel Parking” that has garnered him over 2.3M streams on Spotify since its release in mid-January.

Jones leaned on alt-pop accents on his first single on “Parallel Parking,” but with “roll the dice” listeners will witness a different sonic shade. It favors an alternative hip-hop cadence fueled by sonic textures recalling the carefree days of summer. The ambiance of relaxation meshes with an assortment of elevating beats and enrapturing vocals developing into a driving rhythm of genre-infusing swagger.

The track signals for the concept of taking a shot and putting it all on the line to get what you truly want. Like its title and with the game of life, you could come up snake eyes and go bust. But if you don’t bet on yourself, who will? Thematically, “roll the dice” is about conquering fear in a world that’s filled with it and knowing that all the things you've ever desired are located on the other side of fear.

“Roll the dice” is released via Jones’ label vnclm_ and produced by F E R R O. Along with “Parallel Parking,” both singles serve as Arden Jones introduction to the world with more songs in the pipeline this year.
