Kastra has been a steadfast producer in the electronic space for the better part of the past decade, initially cutting his teeth via bootlegs and mashups in the booming 2010 – 2015 SoundCloud scene. Combining popular tracks with main stage anthems, his wildly popular Kastra [Bootlegs] account rapidly grew in SoundCloud’s streaming heyday, piquing the interest of headlining DJs globally. Seeing early support from DJ heroes ranging from Martin Garrix and David Guetta to the likes of Knife Party, his music has graced some of the biggest stages in the world. Kastra has featured on a variety of highly respected labels, including Armada, Musical Freedom, Dim Mak, and now Ultra Music.
"Fool For You" features a synthwave feel throughout with a pulsating bassline and punchy percussion to match. Alongside a pop stylized topline, the airy single leans heavily on melodic vocal chops, making the track perfect for the worldwide airwaves. The pandemic served as a catalyst for Ray Decker (Kastra), forcing a shift in his career as the direct result of ambitious songwriting and time spent in the studio. Slightly slower than his typical productions, ‘Fool For You’ is a personal record capturing vulnerability in lockdown, and a general sense of uncertainty, a relatively universal feeling across the past year. Decker took his newfound time and dedicated himself to his craft, and now is the proud owner of a library of content sure to impress fans and industry professionals for the coming months.
"Fool For You" is Kastra’s first original release of the year, and directly follows his incredibly successful remix of "My Head & My Heart" for Wisconsin talent, Ava Max.
