In 1987 the iconic Ten City released the classic Chicago house record "Devotion". Today, the original producer of Ten city and house music legend, Marshall Jefferson revives the classic track 33 years later. Jefferson reworks the classic track ahead of a newly announced Ten City studio album set to release this summer via Ultra Records. The iconic Chicago-born house act is comprised of lead singer Byron Stingily with Jefferson on the production side. The release of the upcoming album Judgement would mark the pair's fifth studio album following their last album release in 1994.

"Devotion" was one of the first track ever written by Ten City and was released during the rise of house music in city of Chicago and soon across the world. This modern rework of the track maintains the all of the classic characteristics of the original with a refreshed 2021 approach. Marshall made sure to keep Byron's captivating vocals at the forefront while still placing his second to none production skills on full display.

When speaking about the classic track Marshall states,“The lyrics are about two women that myself and Byron went on a double date with. They seemed to have been in bad relationships before. Byron started singing and we came up with the idea that if previous men had treated them better, they wouldn’t be so bitter. I took Byron’s original and positive vocal ideas ‘I want to give you Devotion’ and came up with the music the same night because it was a great vibe.”

Following their most recent release "Be Free", the duo has made it clear that they are back. The combination of the album announcement and the release of the newly reworked version of "Devotion" are sure to bring excitement to house heads across the globe. Ten City has officially ended their two and a half decade hiatus from music. Their return comes during a time where everyone needs some positivity in their lives, a message that the duo has always promoted in their music over the years.

The Marshall Jefferson remix of "Devotion" is now available to buy and stream on all platforms. Stay tuned for the release of Judgement this summer via Ultra Records, as the pair releases their first studio album since 1994.
