Multi-faceted New Orleans artist Voice Monet graces our site with this single "Collective" that displays her experimental and off-kilter style of hip-hop. The artist is an unbridled force of talent, from acting, cooking, and rapping to dancing and even martial art. "Collective" brings to the fore her penchant for tackling real-time issues from a different perspective providing alternative solutions/suggestions to situations.
Monet makes use of a moody and somewhat rumbling instrumental to convey her message of unification at all fronts. Armed with a breathy, laidback but impassioned delivery she implores listeners to put aside differences and utilize the power of numbers against the ops.
She is currently transitioning her love for hospitality, culture, and the city of New Orleans out of the French Quarter into her fledgling podcast Voice Is Hear where she will be flexing her food & wellness skills preparing custom meals sourced locally for an array of guests native, transplanted or visiting New Orleans. She’s also working on her next full-length album tentatively titled Dream Crib that chronicles the magically mundane journey of buying her first home while deep in the throes of a global pandemic.
