Pro-Era veteran Nyck Caution released his new single “How You Live It” last Friday. Setting himself apart, he teamed up with Joey Bada$$ for a collaborative braggadocios. In addition to the new single, he also released a coordinating video directed by Fakedell.
Enlisting UK producer, Dreamlife, “How You Live It” boasts a soul-sampling instrumental for the two lyricists to lay down a couple of fire verses. Nyck dives deep into his bag on the track as he effortlessly talks his shit. “This is Killa Season, hoe, I feel like Cam’Ron/ I’m just trying to build a block that I can stand on”, he beats on his chest. Bada$$ matches his teammate’s high-energy with vicious bars. “Fuck what they talking bout, dawg I know they hear me/ I can give a fuck if they feel me”, he skates over the smooth beat. The visual captures the Brooklyn-native as a sleazy real estate agent. Teaming up with the boss, played by Bada$$, the two secure the bag and live it up. The video features some familiar cameos from Beast Coast, Pro-Era, and Denzel Curry.
Nyck Caution caught the eyes of fans as a member of the Pro Era collective in the early 2010s. Appearing on some popular projects including Joey Bada$$’s 1999, Beast Coast’s Escape From New York, and A$AP Mob’s Cozy Tapes Vol. 2, the East Coast artists has been separating himself from the pack “How You Live It” is his first single from his upcoming, full-length project, set to release in early 2021. Prior to his new single, Caution delivered his Open Flame EP back in July. With another project under his belt, he’s preparing for the next follow-up to his 2016 debut Disguise The Limit.
