Hoger succumbs to emotional pain on the phenomenal "Same Mistakes"

Netherlands-based songwriter Hoger shares his latest flawless single "Same Mistakes." With an inimitable otherwordly quality, the single takes you on a journey into your own emotions and unearths a personal moment of realisation that sometimes the people that cause you the most pain, are actually the people you choose to love the most.

Laced with acoustic sonics and reverbed guitar strings, "Same Mistakes" showcases a delicate melody that is punctuated with dramatic drum rumbles. With a gorgeous addition of strings, the single rolls into a thunderous hit of sweet dopamine. Littered with aunthentic pop traits, the single is yet another exquisite offering from one of the best pop songwriters.

"We all make mistakes. In some cases, we make the same mistakes over and over again. But why? What is the reason that we sometimes can't seem to evade the obvious?" explains Hoger. "'Same Mistakes' is about just that. It's about falling in love with a toxic person or being stuck in a toxic relationship where you somehow were lucky enough to finally find a way out.  You tell yourself that you will never ever go down that route once more, because you don't ever want to feel like that again."

"However, life doesn't work in a stable and logical way that would make sense and you somehow fall for the same person again OR for someone similiar. For some weird reason you love this person and that's the beauty in the pain; you love and accept the way it breaks you up in pieces."

It's often easy to get lost in the moment when listening to music, yet Hoger's music takes you much further into the rabbit hole. Transporting you into another dimesion entirely, it holds your attention long enough to scoop you into a moment of pure bliss that you begin to feel weightless. Evoking underlying emotions that you didn't realise you could feel is exactly where Hoger's power lies. "Same Mistakes" is an uplifting single that captures the songwriter's true talents.
