Following up on his massive "Face Reveal", Offica has came back with a true smash hit single with this new track "Where's The Motive?"
Offica has become Irish hip-hop fastest rising star. In the past year, the formerly mysterious Offica has made a name and lane almost entirely for himself with his blistering track "Naruto Drillings" put him on the map both in Ireland and the UK. A series of high performing singles established him as a drill phenomenon and his last track "Face Reveal" sees him reveal his true identity for the first time.
Now, free from the mask, the Drogheda MC returns with "Where's The Motive?". This track see's Offica link up with his frequent collaborator Reggie and Harlem Spartans founder Blanco. With this much talent on offer, it was hard for this to go wrong.
Thankfully, none of the artists miss. The trio trade unapologetic bars over incredible production from CZR. This track is a true celebration of the end of quarantine and lockdown. Lyrically, it's hard to pick who really ran with it and that's a true testament to how much chemistry is on offer here. The quotable's are flying on this one. The beat is as heavy as the names that sit on it. Heavy 808's and stuttering hi-hats with space synths to complement the relentless rhyme and flow. Untouchable, this track feels as viral as the events that inspired it.
As for what's next from Offica, we are left to wait and see. The sheer consistency from the Drogheda native makes me wonder if the run will ever end. With so much time left in the year, don't be surprised if you see Offica's name pop up a few more times. A great listen back to front.
