London based Ukrainian artist Sleepwoka unveils his latest track “How I Was Wrong.” The sentimental track touches on how we all consider different moments and possessions in different levels of importance. The artist delivers the song at an apt moment in history, as the world re-evaluates and appreciates the things that we previously may have turned a blind eye to.

“How I Was Wrong” begins with jazzy piano melodies to create a welcoming atmosphere of nostalgic sounds. Slowly the track builds with subtle percussion as Sleepwoka’s warm vocals swell alongside fast-paced electronic beats and whirling synths. The funky soundscapes are reminiscent of classic George Michael, emitting a strong 80’s feel and establishing an infectious, hypnotic effect.

Sleepwoka has used this release as an opportunity to delve further into what is genuinely the most valuable and cherished parts of our lives. The singer shares in his press release, “When we were younger, we always felt that the best times were always ahead of us and that we would be the kings of this life! As the years go by, and we begin to achieve our life goals, we realise that those carefree times were actually the years where we felt most free and alive. Although we had nothing, somehow life felt more authentic.”

Sleepwoka’s music succeeds in pursuing relatable and thought-provoking narratives, with the hopes to make listeners evaluate their everyday lives through intricately crafted electronic music.
