Toronto rapper Pressa has recruited Sleepy Hallow and Sheff G for a new single, titled "Head Tap." After getting his first big breaks working with fellow Canadian, Murda Beats, and then opening for Drake's 2017 Boy Meets World tour, Pressa has worked to further advance the Toronto renaissance, even documenting the city's cultural growth with his role in the 6ix Rising documentary. Since then, he has used huge hits like "Canada Goose" and "420 in London" to establish his off-kilter, charismatic ability.
"Head Tap" is one in a string of Pressa singles to follow his 2019 LP, Prestige, and displays his trademark vocal presence. He oozes personality– his unique delivery laying down a strong melody and changing flows. Cinematic piano tones roll over 808's into a perfect track for the summer.
Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow have worked together on dozens of tracks, but find themselves in unusual territory, trading their normal Brooklyns drill beats for d.a. got that dope's more buoyant, playful instrumental. Both serve to give the track the grit to Pressa's whimsy.
"Head Tap" is available to stream through Sony Music Canada below.
