Los Angeles-based artist Lauren Lakis returns with her hypnotizing concoction of shoegaze dream pop. "We'll Be Fine" is a seamless follow up from her highly acclaimed EP Sad Girl Breakfast, bringing listeners along on her journey through self-discovery and the everyday hurdles of a 20-something. With her new release, Lakis touches on relationships and how no matter what we’re going through, we always manage to find a way to pull through the tough times.
The Baltimore-born musician is known for her stunningly organic compositions which create an ethereal and dreamy atmosphere. Lakis admits in a statement, “As we’ve gone through this pandemic, it’s become a sort of love song to humanity, a ballad of hope. We’ve been given a unique opportunity to pause and go inward, where shadow exists alongside light. There is fear and grief and uncertainty, but ultimately I have faith that we will be fine, maybe better than “fine” if we choose."
