Crawley-based three-piece TALU is everything you want in an indie-pop band. Catchy, slick-as-anything, upbeat tunes that effortlessly navigate through numerous musical shades and emotions like music is their first language. A relative fresh voice to the scene, yet a welcome one as they add to their thus far humble back catalogue with the effervescent "Take You Home."
Mere moments in and a rush of nostalgia washes over you as an early naughties, MySpace-era pop theme introduces the track, reminiscent of the likes of Hellogoodbye. As the track unfolds, the neon-tinged electronics dissolve into nothing short of the quintessential indie-pop; bright guitars, introspective lyrics and a groove befitting any mood.
"The song is about two people telling each other how much potential they both have," explains vocalist Will Martins in the email press release. "There's a mix of sentiments and the song goes back and forth between the potential they have in their relationship and everything else they could do outside of that."
"Take You Home" is out now, and keep your eyes peeled for their debut EP coming this later this year.
