Richard Griffith is an emerging producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer from the UK who recently put out his debut project entitled Percepts. The project boasts a vast array of musical styles ranging from shoegaze, pop, jazz-soul, and more. On its focus track "Last Thoughts," we get to hear a tip of the proverbial iceberg as Griffith showcases a knack for fusing genres with an eclectic approach. The track has mellow jazz drums engulfed by lush keys, ethereal strings all culminating in a calming texture. Griffith, on the other hand, is in his element here as he brings a nostalgia-inducing aura to the track with his sublime vocals.

Griffith taps deep into his emotions to deliver an uplifting performance as he broods about the dynamics of the ever-changing times. "Last Thoughts" is a well-crafted track from the style of arrangement and the way it builds up sure makes it stand out. Griffith doesn't attempt to go overboard with the instrumentation and lets each musical element breathe on its own accord. When the vocals don't come to play, additional instruments show up to change up the mood in a positive manner and nothing sounds out of place or overly boisterous.

"Last Thoughts" is taken from Percepts, his 12 track self-produced debut album which was done over the course of 2 years as he juggled recording with finishing a degree in medicine. The project reflects on subjects such as loss, self-doubt, and a sense of time seemingly sailing by, throughout finding ways to be at peace amongst all of these. The project also boasts features from singer Lila Yin and Lester Duval (one half of rap duo 2nd Exit).
