Above & Beyond reimagine "Sahara Love" at Alexandra Palace [Video]

In preparation before embarking on the next iteration of Above & Beyond’s critically acclaimed Acoustic live experience, Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamäki and Tony McGuinness release the second track to receive the acoustic treatment off of their upcoming album Acoustic III.

Revisiting an indie-leaning highlight from their 2018 album Common Ground, the band takes to London’s Alexandra Palace to reunite with Zoë Johnston and rehearse “Sahara Love”. The video sheds insight as to what show goers have in store when the trio goes on tour – that's still on schedule – this May.

"Sahara Love" intrinsically possessed the spirit of a live band since conception and original electronic production. The acoustic arrangement champions this further, heavily influenced by the soulful sounds of the 60s.

As testament to the ability their songs hold to withstand the test of time, the trio regularly deconstructs their compositions and reimagine their parts for the live band.  They have traveled the globe twice now with a full ensemble in-tow, demonstrating dance music's integrity and authenticity with every stop.

First conceived in 2014, they released the inaugural Acoustic album debuted the live experience in London and Los Angeles. Acoustic II's arrival in 2016 further developed the premise, touring the live experience extensively at renowned performance venues and theaters around the world including the Sydney Opera House, The Hollywood Bowl and the Waikiki Shell.  Now revived to give the acoustic treatment to their 2018 album Common Ground, the Acoustic III tour is planned to touch iconic venues in the UK and North America once more including Radio City Music Hall, The Greek Theatre, and the Red Rocks Amphitheater accompanied by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.

You can pre-order the upcoming collection of live renditions to be released on the Acoustic III album via the Anjuna Music Store and buy tickets to an Acoustic III tour date near you on their website.
