As we all get acclimated to being indoors, we might as well be banging new music till things get better. Speaking of better things, Baltimore's teacher turn rapper MC Bravado shows a blend of growth and youthful exuberance on this new one-off single titled "Dirty 30." He recruits the help of producer Militant Marxman, who brings a cinematic and menacing beat that matches the title of the song.
The record sees Bravado embracing a life decision that many would find completely insane: walking away from a tenured teaching job at 30+ to become a full-time rapper. Bravado fully accepts his lot in life on this cut as he compares his life with his peers with a tongue-in-cheek approach over the grimy beat laid before him. He keeps sharp lyricism through subtle wit lines like "...Don't fucking judge me for really going to get it/Good dick and bad credit/My debit was rejected in seven 7/11's…". In the end, "Dirty 30" is Bravado's own personal proclamation concerning his life choices and who are we to judge?
"Dirty 30" is just one of many loose tracks from Bravado as he is busy working on his forthcoming yet to be titled album. Get it on all platforms via Soulspasm here.
