Taylor Grey first bust onto the music scene back in 2016 with the release of her debut EP Lovely, since then, the California-based artist has gone on to release numerous singles, two follow-up EPs and a 2019 favourite "Intentionally".
Today sees the release of her freshest indie-pop anthem, and first single of 2020, "COMPLIC8ED", a song about exploring the statement of "complicated" and what is actually means make things in life complicated.
Grey initially gained inspiration for "COMPLIC8ED" from Dean Lewis' "Stay Awake", and the creative process of the single started after a weird encounter that occurred between Taylor and a friend of hers, who she had a crush on for a while.
Continuing to showcase what has made Grey a mainstay within the pop genre, her bright, pop melodies within the single touch on the reasoning as to why sometimes you do want to make things complicated in life. However, deep down, this is your typical love song, essentially a song diving into the want to give a forbidden and unknown love a chance.
