Glacier Veins champion the positive mindset on "Everything Glows" [Video]

"A positive mindset" is a phrase very much in the modern lexicon. It's in the mouth of an awful lot of people at the moment due to the overdue, yet still slow process of breaking down the taboo of talking about mental health and wellbeing.  In the case of Portland-based dream punk quartet Glacier Veins, it's more than just the motivation to write a song; put simply by vocalist, guitarist and frontwoman Malia Endres, "I want everyone to have a positive mindset and set goals and dreams for themselves—and put action toward reaching them."

"Everything Glows" is the opening salvo to forthcoming and debut LP "The World You Want To See". Shifting gears slightly into high-octane, jubilant pop-punk, Endres' vocals transpose from tranquil to tenacious, and what started out as a solo project is now a poised and sonically distinct four-piece. Covered in a warm pink hue (or titular glow, if you will), the video is straight and to the point, with all four members beaming throughout and clearly passionate about every element.

Speaking with us via email, Endres' "'Everything Glows' was one of the last songs we wrote for The World You Want To See, and it ended up feeling like it captures the main theme of the whole record—creating and surrounding yourself with good energy and a meaningful perspective on the life you’re living." Leading on to talk on the writing process, "we wrote this song in Los Angeles on a day off during our tour. It all flowed so naturally after being inspired by the shows we were playing, the people we were spending time with, and the experiences we were having around that time. I was feeling very grateful and surrounded by magic. We all get so energized and excited when we play this song so we wanted to share those feelings visually through the music video. I’m hoping it brings some extra light to your day." It does indeed, and expect his and so much more from their forthcoming album.

Glacier Veins' debut LP The World You Want To See is out on February 28th via Equal Vision Records & Common Ground Records and can be preordered here.
