Duñe x Crayon gives us “Hundred Fifty Roses” after three year hiatus

Four years ago, their EP Crayon x Dune was released and in the following years, fans saw Duñe x Crayon respectively pursue solo ventures. Now, the French electronic duo have reunited to share their first new single in three years via Roche Musique, "Hundred Fifty Roses". The single is the first to be lifted from the pair's debut album which is set for release in early 2020.

Slick electronics and honey-sweet bass lines provided by Crayon occupy the track's wider soundscape, outlined with Duñe's smoky vocals. Heartwarming and buttery-smooth, listeners are transported into an iridescent dream, raw lyricism holding tight onto each individual soul. Incandescence is truly the epitome of "Hundred Fifty Roses", as the duo meticulously dance between R&B, g-funk, and soul throughout the track's vast chords for an utterly smooth number.

Before working together, the pair, who met in 2014, have forged out successful solo careers. Crayon was previously signed to Kitsuné where he cut his teeth alongside Yuksek, releasing two EPs to-date (tipped by Pitchfork) via Roche Musique. As well as creating his own music, the artist has racked up a string of production credits working with tipped names from the French electronic underground scene: Ichon, Blow and L’Or du Commun to name but a few. Duñe, on the other hand, was championed from the off via Roche Musique, initially as part of the hip-hop duo Saje before releasing solo material.
