WizKid is one of the most recognizable singers heading the rise of Afro Fusion music worldwide. In just a few years, the young Nigerian artist has released three albums in addition to collaborating with multiple music legends including Beyonce, Drake, and Lady Gaga. This past weekend WizKid dropped his first single of the year, “Ghetto Love” with an inspiring visual to go with it.
The dancehall single produced by Kel P and Killertunes, keeps the summer vibes going even in mid-September with it’s upbeat soundscape. As far as the visual, the video kicks off WizKid surrounded by his entourage then quickly transitioning to shot of a young boy symbolizing the artist during his childhood. Throughout the video we get different shots of this young boy whose life revolves around music from listening to songs on a cassette player to recording in the studio as a child. Intertwined are clips of the now very renowned artists recording tracks and enjoying his very successful music career. Overall, the music video for “Ghetto Love” showcases the artist’s hunger to make it the music industry. And we can now confidently say, he did.
