Skream's newest release via Ministry of Sound, "Song For Olivia," is an aptly-titled homage to his newborn daughter. The track sees the prolific dance maestro take on a disco-fuelled dissonance, signifying the beginnings of a new sound.

Harnessing a retro 80's synths, "Song For Olivia" takes the melodic techno sound that the Croydon-born artist has come to be associated with into new territories. Combining elements of carefree disco and emotive trance to masterful effect, the track is voluminous in its delivery, smooth in its optimistic elements. As usual, Skream's sound is polished, refined in each chord and sophisticated in his usage of a subtle risers. Undoubtedly, the track is a perfect gift for his daughter, one that's swathed in luminescence and hope for the future.

Helping shape the direction of dance music over the course of his esteemed 15-year career, Skream has become one of the scene's most respected names. At the forefront of electronic music since the age of 16, he has headlined festivals worldwide, produced #1 records and released underground classics. Founder of his own Of Unsound Mind label, a home for varied colourful and melodic productions, the DJ/producer is also poised to embark on his Open To Close tour.
