The rise of London born Murkage Dave has been enthralling. He was the head honcho behind the Murkage nightclub events group, hitting up a lot of the U.K. The night that he ran also spawned a group which successfully toured Europe, gaining a legion of loyal fans. Since the Murkage nights have ground to a halt, he's been focusing on his first love: making music.
Dave has always been deep in the music scene, whether it was part of Murkage or even DJing around the country. But he's thrown himself into honing his craft as an artist, and he hasn't disappointed. Since the release of his incredible debut album Murkage Dave Changed My Life in 2018, Dave has been on a sold out UK tour, as well as a support slot on The Streets European leg too.
We've now been blessed by one of the most popular tracks from his album, "Keep Up The Bad Work". The visuals serve as a nostalgic look into the past, and are shot magnificently by director Chazz Adnit. It follows a younger Dave around his favourite haunts as a teenager, as well as cutting in shots of Dave and his friends outside an old Volkswagen Golf. The song has some bright acoustic guitar chords atop an almost Neptunes-esque beat.
Dave is due to go on tour both in the UK and in Europe at the end of the year. His debut album Murkage Dave Changed My Life is available to stream and buy on all major platforms.
