It's been a minute since Dead Hippie graced our pages with his characteristic dark style of hip-hop. The Jacksonville, Fla. rapper/producer, however, has been on his grind and recently shared his new single "In the Clouds". The self-produced record sees Hippie on a very solemn path as he dwells on the parallels of life and death. He talks about social issues ranging from drugs, poverty, and institutionalized mind states prevalent in urban areas and how all these usually lead to unfortunate circumstances.
"In the Clouds" once again showcases Dead Hippie's duality as both a producer and a rapper. His soundscapes remain cinematic and ominous, which in turn accentuates his often biting lyrical content about his personal experiences from his own twisted perspective.
