Bobby Analog has quickly become one of Belfast's most prominent figures in its burgeoning electronic music scene. A DJ, producer, promoter and founder of label Body Fusion, the Irish creative is now back with EP Body Fusion 006—a four-tracker chock-full of smooth house hits.
Lining up Chicago and Italo House influences, Body Fusion 006 meets in the middle and melds ambient poly synth sounds for slick productions. Opening track "Portal 1501" transports us into an abstracted world of groovy kicks and tampered drums, exuding effortlessness in its minimalistic cadence. "Memory Sequence" follows with equal parts shimmer and meandering bass, illuminating Bobby's innate abilities in crafting ambient house. Akin to this namesake, "Dreamer" is hypnotic, opening up with funky bass whilst culminating in reverberating melodic notes. Finally, "Energizer" closes off the EP with a medley of drum, synth and low-down chords, a progressive narrative that builds with nostalgia and playful quirks.
