West Coast rising artist Joey Vantes bears it all in the video for his new single “What It Feels Like”. Although the ayowiththemayo produced track has a somewhat bright and upbeat feel, the video sees Vantes dwell on some touching issues concerning life and death. Armed with a smooth melodic voice the singer/songwriter goes into a dark place on the song as he ponders about what the future may hold and all the troubles he is facing.
The haunting video stars a seemingly distressed Vantes, who stumbles through a desert setting before eventually turning on himself. We don’t want to spoil too much here, but there’s a lot to unravel about this single and video. It was directed by Vantes himself in addition to Kat St. Clair, Chip Garcia (of Another Chip), and Miguel Chavez (of Roaring Lion Productions).
