Emcee Donwill reunites with his Tanya Morgan member Von Pea on his new single titled "Laura's Song 2". The Von Pea produced track is a heavy soul track built off a lush piano riff and a smooth vocal sample that comes in every now and then. In their usual fashion, the duo once again showcases their undeniable chemistry as they go back and forth with descriptive lyrics about love, music, and life as entertainers while Che Grand provides the chorus to tie everything together.
Donwill also shared his new video "Screens" featuring Quelle Chris. The track dwells on social media, the advent of smartphones, TVs and the effect it has on us as humans. The title alludes to these electronic screens to be mirrors that keep us preoccupied with a virtual world instead of focusing on the real one. Once again it is produced by Von Pea who crafts an ethereal and offbeat backdrop with a mixture of static, dark synths and obscure vocals perfect for the thought-provoking lyrics.
