For all the electronic goodness that currently exists, Laurel Laxxes' newest offering with Gavin Beach is but a treasure to the world, the eponymous hero of a soul-warming narrative that brings you to "Somewhere New".

A blend of atmospheric electronica and caressing tingles, the Australian producer sets a small fire within, compelling and magical in its effortless composition. Beach's vocals is nothing short of magical, a warming hue like that of a sunset, glowing over each word with utmost passion and genuine love. The duo flourish together, weaving a track that stands strong in its soft synths and meld of percussive subtleties for a confident lushness.

The first drafts of "Somewhere New" were written around the time the Australian producer was working at Acapela Studios in Cardiff, UK. Inspired by the incredible visual landscapes from around, the beautifully lush and atmospheric sounds that we find in "Somewhere New" rebirths its muse in an intricate web of sounds.

"I was living such an incredible life at this point," Laxxes elaborates. "Being enamoured with the new landscapes I was finding myself in around Europe whilst being afforded the opportunity to collaborate with international artists left me feeling so inspired and positive." Through the experience of working alongside various different projects in the recording studio, it was here that the producer was introduced to the Cardiff singer.

"I met Gavin and his producer at the studio in the hills and instantly fell in love with Gavin's voice and admired his laid back and respectful personality," he shares of their partnership. "Upon returning to Australia, I knew that I had to get Gavin on the track, knowing his vocals would sit perfectly in the track and absolutely shine where they needed to."

"Somewhere New" is available everywhere now via Mammal Sounds Records, and Queensland fans can catch Laxxes performing at Lululemon Pacific Fair in Gold Coast on July 7.
