After dropping his critically acclaimed project Falling Man earlier this year, the enigmatic rap act Duckwrth returns with the animated treatment of his song "Sallie Mae."
The frantic song starts on a mellow note and a smooth vocal rendition by Los Angeles-based recording artist NoMBe before switching into a cinematic piece. Duckwrth goes forth against the norm as he tackles the demons within and without. Weaving between a passionate growl to a calm whisper, Duckwrth shows a wide spectrum of emotions on the record that would get the listener engaged on a very reflective level. The animation for "Sallie Mae" was crafted by iamninjad with creative direction by Duckwrth himself and shows the artist in a high-speed chase that confronts both systematic and self-inflicted chaos head-on
Currently, on tour in support of YBN Cordae, Duckwrth is preparing for a string of festival dates, including Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland, Malmo Sommarscen in Sweden, Melt Festival in Germany, Afropunk Festival in Atlanta, Georgia and Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas.
