California's Lubelski returns to Gruuv with Dip Into A Dream, developing new tech-house narratives with David Pher on official remix duties.
Lubelski begins the dialogue with title cut "Dip Into A Dream", executing the scene flawlessly with an organic hi-hat meld that screams mastery. Combining slick percussion patterns with fellow LA talent SOHMI’s infectious vocal hooks, "Dip Into Dream" is sun-soaked in whirring alarms, escalating into groovy bass expositions.
Following, "The More I Know, The Less I Know" illuminates the producer's twist on tech-house, revelling in soaring 303 lines and warped vox injections. It's an enigmatic stomper that ultimately characterizes the rawness of the genre, propelled by his use of woozy stabs. Finally, Pher's interpretation of title track "Dip Into A Dream", rounds out the EP by stripping back the production to lay focus on the vocals—introducing regimented drum arrangements and slick bass throughout.
Having made his production debut in early 2016, Lubelski has emerged as a key artist within the US’ recent West Coast electronic music resurgence over the past few years. A self-proclaimed audiophile, the producer often utilizes analog gear and vinyl sampling within his work in keeping true to his love for music.
