Talented Wisconsin rapper Rob Hicks has been making music for a few years, but has only just released his second body of work. DEMORIPS. is a display of quick rapping abilities, but goes a step further; Hicks has nearly perfected how he hits pockets. He rides the project's instrumentals with a confidence that has been developed over the years. He's getting better, and this is just the prequel to his forthcoming debut album. The entire project sees purposeful raps about relationships. Hicks said that he "wanted to touch on sex and relationships on pretty much every record just because that’s something that everyone can feel in some way."
Highlights from DEMORIPS. include the Rahn Harper-featured "Tell No Lies" and the Innanet James-assisted "Hold Me Down." As we wait for Rob Hicks' upcoming album, press play on the nine-track DEMORIPS. project up above.
