MOAN (Message of a Nation) is back at it again with another refreshing and poignant record for everyone going through their daily hustle just to earn an honest living. "Minimum Wage" once again showcases the chemistry between Lucid Behaviour and Sean Dee as they go back and forth expressing their disdain for the capitalistic system we live in over the mellow beat by producer Ben Woodward. We get to hear different views on what they are going through and also from a general viewpoint on how the system is just designed to keep us stuck in an endless cycle.
The Yorkshire-based hip-hop collective team up with director Joseph White who goes for a homely aesthetic. We see the group having a pint or two in an unknown pub with friends while sharing their thoughts. "Minimum Wage" is taken from the trio's debut 8 track EP Finding Home, a reflection of modern times in young adults. The EP title came from teaching hip-hop workshops to young homeless people in Sheffield for UK charity DEPAUL.
