Olivia.wav paints the town red in "DANCE.DANCE.CRY" [Video]

Rising LA-based vocalist and songwriter Olivia.wav has been an industry fixture for about the last 6 years, providing background vocals & melodies to a number of prominent artists, such as most notably Anderson .Paak, Doja Cat, and Willow Smith. This year, the Grammy nominated songstress has decided to step from background to instead take center stage with her upcoming EP set to be released this Spring.

The first single off of the project is a bouncy, night owl anthem of empowerment entitled "DANCE.DANCE.CRY" produced by Bayroo that has an accompanying visual directed by D'arby Rose and edited by Alex T. Jacobs. The lush visual features Olivia with an alluring group of friends on a girl's night out, that turns a bit more sinister towards the video's mid-point. When asked about her inspiration for the song, Olivia explained:

I’m very inspired to write music after experiencing conversation with people. I was at a warehouse party and met this girl, who spoke freely of her recent lost love to anyone who would listen. Throughout the night I saw that the more lit she got, the more her sadness turned to moments of distraction. Fleeting happiness. We all experience wins and losses. We create highs for ourselves when we desperately need to stay in that space just to stay alive. Sometimes by indulging in our own vices. But what comes up must come down eventually, right? It’s a cycle. Dance while you can. Cry later.

Be sure to be on the lookout for more jams from Olivia.wav in the near future!.
