As one of the hardest working artists in the game, it's only a matter of time before people stop responding to the question, "what does IDK stand for?" with, "I don't know" and replacing it with, "ignorantly delivering knowledge." The name is fitting for the Maryland-native wordsmith, who has proven time and time again that he can spit some of the sharpest bars over some of the hardest instrumentals. IDK has done an excellent job of cultivating a cult-like following by working with a smorgasbord of lyrical talents, such as DOOM, Denzel Curry, and even Chief Keef. His most recent run of releases, including the Powers Pleasant posse cut "Please Forgive", have only stoked the smoldering excitement surrounding his upcoming album, #ISHEREAL.
"Trigger Happy" is IDK's first single off #ISHEREAL and serves as a knife and cutting board for all the loose fat surrounding him. The song begins with IDK singing to almost tune his voice, before vehemently cutting himself off with the line, "All of my peers is threatened by me.
I can tell, I can see, jealousy living in need." This all happens with the bars being delivered acapella, with the beat only kicking in around line 12. This delivery highlights the urgency in IDK's thoughts, he's unable to wait for production to catch up, he just needs to get them out there. Where the song goes on to talk about how establishing relationships within the industry is imperative to an artist's progress, IDK doesn't listen. He actively takes shots at artists he's grown with and then even goes to call out Logic by his name. Here's the verse in question:

The nail in the coffin is the fact IDK included the instrumental of the song, almost taunting rappers to shoot back. But it doesn't matter if anyone fires back, IDK has taken his shot and hit it. Now it's time to patiently wait for #ISHEREAL.
