Dream pop darling Rosemary Fairweather has a new album arriving later this year and today on EARMILK, she is premiering the single “Superstar” off the forthcoming LP. The track is another gem from the Toronto artist who shows off her signature atmospheric, beat-driven production aesthetic and ethereal vocal delivery. The album follows her debut Heavenly – A Collection of Songs from 2016 and will have the fitting title Heavenly – A Second Collection of Songs.
Throughout her musical career, Fairweather has consistently cultivated beautifully textured and emotive music that stays accessible, and “Superstar” is no exception. The song takes listeners into the clouds from the onset with its warm opening chords and Fairweather’s gentle, airy singing that enters soon after. Fairweather also announced in a recent social media post that she will be releasing a new single on the last Friday of every month until her album drops in August.
