Snoh Aalegra is the voice you didn't know you already knew. Her gentle whispers line the bars behind Drake's retrospective outro track "Do Not Disturb" and also in the coveted Apple commercial track "Nothing Burns Like The Cold". For those of you who are familiar with the name, you'll no doubt have been counting the days until her next release since her beautiful Feels album in 2017. Now, the Swedish songstress is back with a beautiful love-laden new track titled "I Want You Around."
"I Want You Around" breaks the long-awaited silence from the versatile singer in a very big way. The soulful ballad makes light of the complications that occur in a relationship; the contrast between what you want and what you need. Snoh explores the simple pleasures of spending time with someone special over some simple boom-bap drums dusted with a light-hearted piano. The song moves slowly through the singer's emotions, finally coming to the conclusion she just wants her someone special around and nothing more than that.
2019 is likely to be a big year for the ARTium-signed artist so stay tuned for more from the melodic vocalist in the near future.
