DOV hopes to “Be Your Lover” with textured beats

Multi-instrumentalist and producer Dov Eagle or simply DOV left home in Tel-Aviv to pursue the life he envisioned as a queer liberal musician and artist. Now based out of Brooklyn, DOV is set to release a debut EP early this year and it sounds like he’s owning life. “Be Your Lover” is the second single and title track from DOV’s forthcoming EP. Its brooding, off-kilter style, hazy layers, and percussive texture make for an irresistible track.

DOV describes “Be Your Lover” as a track about unfulfilled love, “that strong feeling of losing something you never had… if you should leave everything behind and take that leap to be with them.” These raw and honest feelings come out in the emotive melodies and lyrical simplicity. Fellow Israeli artist TESHA joins in to complete the eerie vocal layering effect. It adds the finishing touch to the swampy, yet alluring and sensual mood.

TESHA’s vocals pair perfectly with DOV’s dark productions. She also appears on “Save,” the first single DOV shared from his debut EP. Both tracks are out now for streaming, and look for the complete Be Your Lover EP soon to follow.
