Denzil Porter takes a stance on his new song about making it despite the odds. Aptly titled "According to Them", Porter strikes back at the naysayers over a vibrant backdrop produced by Claws.
"According to Them" has that ultimate F-you notion as Porter reinforces his go-getter mentality throughout the track. He adopts the standard trap influenced elements and gives it his own unique twist by lacing it with personal anecdotes. he doesn't sugarcoat his feelings but he also doesn't go overboard. "According to Them" follows Porter's appearance on the collaborative song "The Last Cypher" alongside Oswin Benjamin and Chris Rivers.
The North Bronx-based rapper goes for a more darker feel in the video directed by GrandolpMedia. He brings his entire posse for a rousing performance in an unknown setting. It is gritty and a far cry from the glitz and glamour of today's mainstream rap videos.
