When a new release lands via the prestigious Toolroom label, you already know you're in for something special. The latest comes from label boss Mark Knight and Radio 1 legend Danny Howard, who have teamed up for the first time on new EP You Can Do It Baby – two infectious cuts of peak-time, bumping house.
Lead track "You Can Do It Baby" is an instantaneous wash of bass and groove that will have you pining for a Balearic backdrop. Melding hedonistic sounding drums and a classic vocal sample, the track builds and breaks at just the right time before throwing you straight back into the thick of it. This is a house track at its core, bringing inspiration both from the old school and newer styles. The second track, "Playing With My Heart", is another expert delivery from the duo's debut. Following on with the energy of the opener, "Playing With My Heart" is tech-house at it's most refined with rolling, hectic drums, a feverish rhythm and vocal cuts that add another hypnotizing dimension.
