Glasgow is the undeniable hub of Scotland's electronic scene. With an abundance of iconic venues such as Sub Club, Art School, La Cheetah and SWG3, and an outpour of musical talent in the form of DJs like Big Miz, Denis Sulta, Harri and Dixon Avenue Basement Jams – it's a constant revolving door of high quality productions and performances. Jasper James, the much loved Glaswegian DJ and Producer known for his high octane sets and dancefloor-ready productions, has announced his new label Mitchell Street Records with two track EP Crypto/These Are The Beats.

Leading the EP is "Crypto", which was premiered exclusively by Mixmag, and it's Jasper's best production to date. Capturing the same essence as the high energy techno and house selections Jasper provides in his sets, "Crypto" is an all consuming and progressive builder overflowing with peak time club energy – you know those tracks made for low ceilings and taking a crowd to the next level? This is one of them. Coming in deeper and darker, the EP closes on flip side "These Are The Beats". With more hypnotizing drum rolls and a menacing breakdown, "These Are The Beats" is another stomper that creates a completely different club soundscape to its predecessor.

Crypto/These Are The Beats is out November 9th on Mitchell Street Records, and available to pre-order on vinyl from RUBADUB.
