LOWFi exhibit masterful skill and powerful storytelling in debut project “The Allegory”

LOWFi is a rap group consisting of members Jayy Grams, Von Wilda, and Hayelo. The trio is a breath of fresh air as their distinct dynamics and commanding bars are nothing short of exceptional. LOWFi’s maturity and awareness is impressive, as they shed light on the political, societal and transparently open up about the personal.

With no features on the 9-track project, "The Allegory" takes the listener into LOWFi's world as we are introduced to their views and personalities. They are transparent, vulnerable and brilliant with their word-play, giving the listener everything from illuminating stories to hard-hitting bars.

Alongside their project, they dropped the video to their single “LOWFi Anthem”. It’s the last track on the project and has them paying homage to the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. The video is a representation to what LOWFi is all about.

The video showcases them in a post-apocalyptic world with metal devices over their head, as they try to escape the ‘control’ of society. Aligned with their music, it seems that Grams, Wilda and, Hayelo are all about individuality, self-awareness, creating their own lane and not following prototypical rules of society.

It’s fair to say that these young boys are so cleverly conscious and ‘woke’. With that mentality that they hone, their cognizant music is simply needed even more. There’s always talk about how the younger generation doesn’t care about ‘bars’ as much. The LOWFi boys are both hope and proof that poetic mastery in hip-hop is very much alive.
