One of San Francisco's hottest bands, French Cassettes, are kick starting their project with a brand new single "City Kitty." A Motown pop song, as the band describes, provides uptempo bass lines met with catchy vocals recorded in the groups kitchen closet.
Returning to the spotlight having taken a step back from creating music for some time, French Cassettes have used this space to discover their sound. They have matured in their songwriting skills, and have found their niche of melodic upbeat glam rock. "City Kitty" showcases the groups ability to write a unique composition that has you clapping along and tuning in to their lyrical content, having an aptness to evoke a range of emotions from happiness to grief.
It has been long in the making, but the French Cassettes look to return to music with a standout upcoming album. This being the first of many releases, they have decided to press a 7" album to vinyl including a unreleased B-side.
