Chase McBride’s painterly folk is imbued with pop optimism, his sense for rhythm and melody, and his gentle voice. The first single, “Good Love”, off of his upcoming full-length album, is a shadowy, acoustic number with the subtle, hooky melodies McBride is known for.
The new full-length album, “Pink Lemonade”, out November 30th, was co-produced by McBride and Andrew Heringer (Milo Greene, Avid Dancer, Madi Diaz), a prolific songwriter, producer and engineer. The two hunkered down to record the 9 songs at Heringer’s Mirror Wall Studio in Beachwood Canyon, LA. Though McBride’s previous albums Cold Water and Green Shade have found viral success on streaming platforms, he says of his latest effort, “This album, from an aesthetic standpoint, feels the most like me.”
Fans of Nick Drake, Jose Gonzalez, and Kevin Morby will find familiar footing in McBride’s pared-down, introspective folk, and knack for pop melody.
