Singer-songwriter and producer Emmanuelle Le’velle Davis, known professionally as Elle, is an LA-based act who is starting to make waves across the hip-hop scene with the release of his latest project, 'what da elle?'.
The EP is a 6 track body of work that blends trap, hip-hop, R&B and a touch of live instrumentation. The Philippines born act delivers a mixed bag of vibes on the EP as he touches on several topics from love, self-assertion and then some. He kicks off with some personal bars on the "Intro/extro" which is actually split in two with a smooth beat switch and ends with a little melodious crooning. The meat of the EP contains Elle 's stylish vocals that tap into Trap, soul, and hip-hop elements. Elle's forte lies within the downtempo region and lyrically dwell on heartfelt tales laced with edgy, untethered lyrics to match. Similar to the intro, the final track "Void" sees Elle's sharp rap skills delivered over a somber soundscape.
