Montreal DJ, electronic producer, mix-engineer, & multi-instrumentalist Ouri announces a new EP We Share Our Blood on Ghostly International / Make It Rain.
As listeners we're extremely lucky to be living in an age where so much incredible music is readily available. However, it can sometimes be overwhelming at points. Although, that being said, it's stumbling upon new musicians such as Ouri, and tracks as special as "Escape" which make writing feel so worthwhile. Her background experience with the piano, harp, and cello heavily influence her unusual shape-shifting approach to melody and bass. As a result, "Escape" has every quality we like. It's fresh, new, and distinct in sound; exploring a new storyline, yet Ouri keeps it relevant and meaningful. Whereas the producer's previous work has seen her collaborate with Montreal contemporaries Forever and Mind Bath. "Escape" sees her using her own voice for the first time. Ouri explains:
“As I continue to create music, I want the whole experience to be even more raw. No-one else is included for this one; from writing to mastering, the process is direct from me to the listener”
