"Roses" is a solid effort that merges soul, hip-hop with some trip-hop vibes. The song has a vintage bounce and gripping guitar plucks that really enhances the emotions behind it all. While he handles the backdrop, up & coming songstress Adria Jenee and female rapper KenTheMan come through with the goods. Adria takes the lead with her angelic vocal tone and passionate delivery. Her vocals are particularly surreal and the added pitch effects only help to create a dreamy ambience over the soulful soundscape. Although KenTheMan gets only a fraction of time on the track to shine, she doesn't waste it as she delivers a melodic-tinged verse that feels like hot butter over a fresh slice.
