Los Angeles rapper Demrick just dropped a new album titled Came A Long Way. The 10-track project begins with "Light A Match," which quickly sets the reflective tone that is carried throughout the album. Came A Long Way is head nodding hip-hop that features punch lines interwoven throughout Demrick's aggressive flow. It's about the young artist's journey and, even on the less reflective songs, references where he came from and how he got to where he's at. He touches on a variety of topics, but repeatedly approaches the smooth production with a rap style reminiscent of a different era in hip-hop.

Another highlight from the album is "Deep End," whose honest lyrics discuss the party lifestyle and how it impacts their lives. With every bar on Came A Long Way, it's evident that Demrick took his time to craft a cohesive project that means a lot to him and his fans.
