Rising Nigerian alternative act Lady Donli shares her newest record "Games" which is actually her first single of the year 2018.
Teaming up with vocalist GJtheCaesar and producer Nosa Apollo, the trio deliver a smooth, electro-house jam that sounds like the perfect background music for summer. The laid-back demeanor she displays on the record is pretty engaging and chock full of lush, angelic vocals blended with a dreamy soundscape. While the song has a fun vibe, the subject matter is quite matured as the duo trade verses about the perils of modern relationships albeit from different perspectives. Sometimes we all get tired from playing the same games for too long and just maybe, it's time to put down the controller and take things to a higher level.
The UK based act has been on the grind for a minute now. In the past 5 years, she has released one mixtape and three EPs, punctuated with singles, each project sounding more refined, and reaching more people than the last.
