Celebrating the release of their new full-length album, Kids In The Night, L.A. alt-rock group Weathers has shared a new music video for their single, "Shallow Water." The latest track off the new album delivers emotion-drenched lyrics intertwined with an infectiously catchy melody and an explosive chorus. Hit play below.
"We wrote this song during a period in my life when I wanted to take time to focus on me. After a while, that resulted in me wondering if I was a shallow person. This song was me feeling conflicted about who I was at that time. I still don't totally know, but that discovery is what keeps things interesting.” Cameron Boyer (lead singer, rhythm guitar)
Made up of Cameron Boyer (vocals), Cameron Olsen (guitar), Brennen Bates (bass) and Cole Carson (drums), Weathers is a young group that delivers a beautifully volatile rock sound that immediately envelops the listener. The songwriting is unapologetically inviting and as you find yourself slowly latched onto the confession style lyrics and gentle guitar strumming, you're suddenly flooded with a wave of explosive pop-rock sound. With such arresting harmonies and energetic instrumentation, Weathers provide a commanding performance that certainly makes them a top new alt-rock group to look out for this year.
Weathers new album, Kids in the Night, is out now and can be found on Spotify.
