Woxow's latest record "Chaos" dwells on institutionalized slavery and self-awareness.
The rising act Woxow teams up with Akil (Jurassic 5), Reggae singer Ken Boothe & emcee BluRum13 on the record. The nostalgia-filled, somewhat lethargic soundscape serves as the perfect backdrop for the acts to talk about various issues from socio-economic problems, capitalism, and injustice. This is far from rhyming for the sake of riddling, these cats really set out to bring their message to the forefront. The track is also boosted by the poignant chorus provided by Ken Boothe who wraps it up with "…I ain't that sleepy but I won't lie down"
"Chaos " is the first leak from the left field hip-hop act Woxow's upcoming project titled Alcazar. The project is a culmination of 20 years of serious digging and intense listening and will be released on his own record label “Little Beat More”. He details the album: "Alcazar is a concept mini-album. The aim is to use hip-hop as a weapon to spread values, going back on those days when this discipline was born. The album is a medium to describe a “malaise” about the way the world is ruled. Highlighting on topics like consumerism, modern slavery, capitalism, corporations control, materialism, globalization…". The project features a clutch of established and new artists like the legendary Ken Boothe, Akil (Jurassic 5), BluRum13, Hannah Williams (Record Kicks), Blacc El, Lostpoet, Pugs Atomz, and Stimulus.
