Harvey Causon and Gabriel Gifford are two DIY artists that are flatmates in Bristol. Yet, they seem to both be creating quite a storm with their new material.
Last time we heard from the two artists Harvey and Gabriel released their brilliant single "Worn You." Moreover, we featured the track at EARMILK & it since got playlisted by BBC Radio 1. It's not always easy to have music that appeals to both radio & blogs, but it's absolutely a testament to their great work together. We delve into their new single "Branches" from their upcoming debut collaborative EP Murphy's Hand below.
Whereas "Worn You" inhabited a dark space "Branches" is considerably brighter and optimistic. Their new single highlights the hip hop sensibility characteristic of Gabriel's lovely production. The swung beat coupled with, Harvey's considered and introspective lyrics, creates an intriguing outing. Creating something wonderfully unique, the duo continue to build on their promising momentum.
