As fans prepare to descend upon the beloved Central California DoLab music festival known as Lightning in a Bottle this weekend, the Los Angeles-based DJ and producer MANSION, formerly known as ChrisB, shares an exclusive new house track titled "Dystopia." Check it out below:
"I began experimenting with MANSION as a way to explore new and different styles of house music about over a year ago. At the end of last year, "Dystopia" became one of my first breakthrough tracks that evolved from that journey of blending different styles of house." MANSION
Having already performed at a previous Lightning in a Bottle and other major festivals like Coachella, MANSION has really become an avenue for Chris B to showcase his wide-ranging production abilities within the house genre. "Dystopia" is a melodic new record containing a ton of complex elements of classic acid house and deep house influences. Some punchy snares keep a groovy, bouncy rhythm, an enchanting synth adds this light-hearted soundscape and a raucous, unapologetic distorted riff on the drop make this track both hard but not overly abrasive. When that distorted sound hits everyone over the large festival speakers this weekend, you can bet fans are going to lose it on the dance floor.
MANSION is set to perform on the Lightning in a Bottle 'Pagoda Stage' this Sunday at 5:00 pm.
