The Fontaines latest visual "Freak" cater to the inner nastiness in all of us as they deeply explore explosive sexual situations.
The sex-fuelled cut is self-assertive and challenges the societal construct regarding our private kinky vices. Lead singer Charlotte Fontaine holds nothing back with her sultry and suggestive vocal performance over the retro-wave tinged backdrop. According to her, the idea of the song came about after a personal experience with an individual labeling her a freak and, well she decides to embody the tag and voila "Freak" was birthed.
The visual is raw, unapologetic and very sensual but most importantly shows the perspective of the female sexuality in it's most sincere form. This is not soft porn but more about the freedom to be true to your nature. When a girl likes kinky things, she's a labeled "freak". And according to The Fontaines, that's okay.
The Los Angeles, CA-based rock band is made up of brother and sister duo Hank Fontaine and Charlotte Fontaine.
